7 Day Cape Town
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Cape Town (Dialysis Treatment) Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by a local English-speaking tour guide and welcomed into South Africa’s popular "Mother City". You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. After lunch you will be taken to one of Cape Town’s medical clinics for dialysis treatment, followed by a return transfer to your hotel to freshen up before enjoying a traditional African dinner at 'Mama Afrika' restaurant. Overnight in 3 star Hotel / Guest House - L/D. Optional Activities for who doesn’t require Dialysis Treatment: Visit to the V&A Waterfront Day 2: Cape of Good Hope Today will be a full day’s excursion where we will take a scenic drive along the Cape Peninsula. Included in todays’ excursion will be a short boat cruise to Seal Island to view our large Cape Fur Seal Colony. At the tip of the Cape Peninsula you will find Cape Point situated within the Cape Peninsula National Park where we will transfer to the Lighthouse lookout by funicular or on foot for spectacular views over the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Lunch will be served en route at a local seafood restaurant. After lunch we will visit Boulders Beach to view our resident African Penguin colony. Enjoy a traditional dinner at the 'Africa CafĂ©' and Overnight in 3 star Hotel / Guest House - B/L/D. Day 3: Table Mountain (Dialysis Treatment) After breakfast, we embark on a morning excursion to Cape Town’s most famous landmark - Table Mountain. No visit to Cape Town would be complete without a cable car ride to the top of the mountain. Sight-seeing from the top of this massif provides one with unequalled panoramic views of Cape Town. Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant in the city. After lunch you will be transferred to the clinic for dialysis treatment, followed by a return transfer to your hotel for time to relax and freshen up before dinner. Dinner will be served at one of the many restaurants situated in Cape Town’s popular Malay Quarter. Overnight in 3 star Hotel / Guest House - B/L/D. Optional Activities for who doesn’t require Dialysis Treatment: Kirstenbosh Botanical Gardens Day 4: Wineland After breakfast we will depart Cape Town for an excursion into the beautiful Cape Winelands areas of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek for wine-tasting at some of our local award-winning wine estates. Lunch will also be served at one of the wine estates along the way. Late afternoon return to Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for a sundowner cruise on board a boat called 'Alice' (weather permitting). Travelling via Moulle Point and Seapoint, we will arrive in Clifton where we will enjoy a barbeque on board whilst taking in one of Cape Town’s stunning sunsets. Kayaking is also available from the boat. We shall return to the Waterfront after sunset and Overnight in 3 star Hotel / Guest House - B/L/D. Day 5: Robben Island (Dialysis Treatment) This morning we will depart our hotel for a morning tour to the well-known Robben Island - previously home to many political prisoners, including ex-President, Nelson Mandela. Today this old prison is purely a tourist attraction where tours are conducted by some of the ex-inmates. Upon return ferry to the Waterfront, enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants in V&A Waterfront - Cape Town’s premier shopping and entertainment complex. After lunch you will transfer to the clinic for dialysis treatment. Afterwards, we return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner in the city. Overnight in 3 star Hotel / Guest House - B/L/D. Optional Activities for who doesn’t require Dialysis Treatment: Aquarium / City Tour (Green Market Square, District six,..) Day 6: Hermanus After breakfast, late morning departure for the coastal holiday village of Hermanus, situated approx. 1.5hrs drive from Cape Town. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in town, followed by leisure time for shopping, etc. Hermanus is famous for its wonderful whale-watching opportunities, especially of the Southern Right whales (main whale-watching season runs from July – November). Enjoy some leisure time sight-seeing and shopping in one of our most popular seaside holiday villages. Overnight in 3 star Hotel / Guest House - B/L/D. Day 7: (Dialysis Treatment) After breakfast you will be transfer to the clinic for your dialysis treatment. Depending on your International flight times, there might be some time for final curio shopping in the afternoon, before your transfer to Cape Town International Airport. Optional Activities for who doesn’t require Dialysis Treatment: Ostrich Farm / Scenic Drive to Clifton and Camps Bay
