MPUMALANGA AND KRUGER NATIONAL PARK HIGHLIGHT – 9 Days (WCS05)(South Africa World Cup June - July 2010)

Watch a Game in Johannesburg and/or Nelspruit!!!

Day 1: JOHANNESBURG
Overnight at 3 star hotel in Johannesburg–B&B

Upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, you will be met by a local tour guide and transfer to your hotel for check in. Half Day Soweto Tour in the afternoon.

Day 2: JOHANNESBURG - MPUMALANGA
Overnight at Bohm’s Zeederberg– Dinner, B&B

Upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, you will be met by a local tour guide for the start of your South African tour. Departing Johannesburg, drive along the N12 or the N4 towards East. At Belfast turn for Dullstroom and start the Panorama Route.

Your route leads you via Lydenberg and stop at Pilgrim’s Rest, where you will have the opportunity to explore living history in this old mining village where gold was first discovered.You will stop for lunch (own account) along the way and arrive at your guest house in the afternoon in time to relax before dinner.

Day 3: MPUMALANGA
Overnight at Bohm’s Zeederberg– Dinner, B&B

Today you will have a full day to spend in Mpumalanga; you will have time to visit the Blyde River Canyon (R532). En route enjoy a stop at God's Window, Mac Mac Falls and Bourke’s Luck Potholes - cylindrical holes formed by the swirling waters at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers.After lunch you will make our way back to your guest house.

Days 4: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Overnight in an accessible chalet, Kruger National Park – only accommodation

After a leisurely breakfast, we depart for the well-known Kruger National Park.After lunch, we continue on our way towards Kruger National Park. The park was established in 1898 and stretches for 350kms from south to north along the Mozambiquan border to where South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe meet.

Well known for its diversity of habitat and wildlife, Kruger offers visitors an excellent opportunity to experience close encounters with elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard in a natural unfenced environment. Wild dog, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and a variety of other species are also indigenous to this park. Late afternoon arrival in your camp situated inside the Park. If time permits, we may go for a late afternoon game drive.

Day 5 and 6: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Overnight in an accessible chalet, Kruger National Park – only accommodation

The following 2 days will be spent enjoying the game viewing in the Kruger National Park – with early morning and late afternoon departures from your camp. Return to your chalets during the heat of the day for some leisure time. Optional night game drives can be arranged from here to view the nocturnal nightlife present in the reserve.

Optional Activities: Day and night game drives on an open vehicle. The Opentop vehicles are not accessible for wheelchair users unless you can transfer into the front seat.

Day 7: NELSPRUIT
Overnight at local guest house - BB

This morning after a leisure breakfast, we depart the Kruger area and head South to Nelspruit where we can watch our a game before going back home.

Day 8: JOHANNESBURG / PRETORIA
Overnight in 3 star hotel in Johannesburg / Pretoria - BB

Today after breakfast you will enjoy some leisure time before we drive back to Johannesburg and Pretoria. We will be at our hotel in the late afternoon, in time for dinner.

Day 9:

Leisure morning.Transfer to the airport to connect your flight back home.
